Industry supports consumer controls campaign

Heating controls manufacturer Honeywell has welcomed the introduction of the new 'Control your Home' campaign led by BEAMA.

The campaign is urging manufacturers and industry bodies to help households reduce their energy bills by controlling their central heating efficiently.

Supported by research carried out by BEAMA, the campaign message is that every domestic heating system should have temperature control in each room, with statistics showing that heating controls can reduce energy costs by 40%. Annually that’s a saving of around £289.

Andy Mansfield, marketing manager at Honeywell comments, “This is a great campaign to raise awareness not only about energy saving but heating controls as well. BEAMA’s research has demonstrated the importance of controlling heating at home and it’s vital that installers drive this message home to the homeowners.
