A number of industry organisations, including Worcester Bosch Group, have pledged their support for APHC's proposals for a voluntary industry-led single competency scheme.

One such company is Worcester Bosch, which has been an active participant in the APHC Sustainability group, the driving force behind the single scheme proposals.

Neil Schofield, head of external and governmental affairs at Worcester, Bosch Group, said: “It must be remembered that many installers are small businesses who have neither the time nor the inclination to apply and administer multiple costly schemes. We fully support any initiative which attempts to ease the red tape burden on installers.”

John Thompson, chief executive officer at APHC, said: “This support from manufacturers and installers is invaluable and proves that people are ready for the industry to change. As momentum is growing for the single scheme we can begin to forge ahead with our proposals and begin a dialogue with other industry and government representatives.”
