The Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering (CIPHE) has announced a new partnership that will boost the benefits available to its installer members.

The new partnership with United Insurance Brokers (UIB), a Lloyd's of London insurance broker, means that CIPHE members can now access a range of insurance services

The latest area to come under review is insurance. Following a lengthy and comprehensive tender process, the CIPHE is delighted to announce our new partnership with United Insurance Brokers (UIB), a Lloyd’s of London insurance broker. The agreement reached with UIB will ensure that members can access a number of insurance services, including:

  • Public liability
  • Professional indemnity
  • Personal accident
  • Van cover
  • Tools cover
  • Breakdown cover
  • Private medical
  • Life insurance.

Working with AXA Direct, UIB offer members policies with no hidden charges. Sole traders and SMEs with fewer than five employees can go online to receive a quote, or instant cover, at http://uibdirect.co.uk/ciphe-member, quoting the reference CIPHE to access a discounted rate. Members can also call 0330 159 6211 or email direct@uib.co.uk.

Christopher Bates, associate director at UIB, said: "We know that CIPHE members have a reputation for professionalism and hold the relevant qualifications and experience to do a good job. Because of this, we are really excited to be able to offer advantageous rates on products such as liability insurance - so far we have seen members make approximately 20-30% savings, while also achieving an excellent level of cover."

Tim Sainty, CIPHE membership director, added: "Our members are dedicated to raising standards and protecting the public interests. High quality insurance on work delivered is just one more way that the public can have confidence in members of the CIPHE."
