The Electric Heating Company (EHC) now offers a complete solar heating package suitable for electric and gas heating.
The EHC Solar Thermal Vacuum Tube system transforms solar energy into useful heat using a solar collector. These consist of a highly-insulated water manifold and a row of tubes.
The vacuum inside each tube provides perfect insulation and protects the system from outside influences such as windy weather or high humidity.
The vacuum ensures energy is collected efficiently and is effectively transferred into usable heat with minimal loss.
The EHC solar collectors are designed to be quickly and easily installed. They can supply up to 70% of a household’s annual hot water requirements and work from dusk to dawn throughout the year. They are 30% more effective than flat plate collectors and
have a standard five-year guarantee with a 25-year average life span. EHC’s solar products are designed and manufactured in the UK.
The system can be used in conjunction with the EHC solar cylinders which work with either the Fusion E10 Electric Solar Combi Unit or the EHC Ecosave Gas Combination boiler.
The company is also looking for accredited solar installers throughout the UK.
