Rinnai is giving HVP readers the chance to win a continuous flow hot water heating unit worth over £1,000.

Rinnai, a UK manufacturer of continuous flow gas-fired water heaters, is putting A-rated Energy Related Products (ErP) labels on all of its units. The company’s A-rated appliances range from load profile ‘S’ for domestic models up to load profile ‘XXL’ for industrial units.

ErP labelling of products is designed to offer transparency to both contractors and their end user customers, who will now have a clear guide to aid them when looking for the most energy efficient units.

The A-rating applies to a unit when in use, ie when fuel is being  consumed. As Rinnai appliances only use fuel when water is needed, they suffer no standing losses, making them particularly efficient in comparison to stored hot water systems.

Rinnai’s range of continuous flow gas fired water heaters includes heavy duty and condensing units engineered to produce high efficiencies and low running costs. All Rinnai units meet and exceed all current and planned Building Regulations and are A rated under the new ErP regulations.

The Rinnai 16i allows water temperatures to be pre-set through easy-to-use, built-in digital controls, eliminating the risk of scalding and eradicating the need for thermostatic mixing valves. The Rinnai Infinity 16i weighs 18kg and measures less than 675mm high, with a width of 139mm.

Rinnai offers installers expert help on installed system labelling. Installers will be responsible for creating the labels for those installations that combine a water heater with other appliances in a system, for example with renewable technologies.
