The 40th Mostra Convegno Expocomfort exhibition will be taking place on 15 to 18 March at Fiero Milano in Italy.

The Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) exhibition is dedicated to residential and industrial installations, air-conditioning and renewable energies, offering an overview of products across the heating, cooling, water and energy sectors.

Visitors can see cutting-edge systems and solutions showcased by major national and international players in the arenas of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, valves, hardware, sanitary technology, water treatment, and renewable energy, as well as building automation.

To date, MCE has in attendance over 1,600 exhibitors, 40% of whom come from 53 countries worldwide, occupying more than 90% of its exhibition space.

Bolstered by the success of the 2014 exhibition, which saw over 2,000 exhibitors meet with 155,987 visitors from 146 countries, MCE is looking to 2016 to reaffirm its leading position within an industry that is one of the most technologically advanced on the market, and is increasingly being seen as strategic to countries' economic situations.

MCE 2016 will focus on the high-grade integration between systems and solutions, building envelopes and installation technology to implement intelligent management systems that will reduce energy use, protect the environment and preserve our natural resources.

This focus is the result of research on energy efficiency technologies carried out for MCE by the Energy & Strategy Group of Politecnico di Milano.

The results suggest that the market for solutions focused on providing maximum energy efficiency, such as heat pumps, building automation systems and condensing boilers, will rise by about 12.8 billion euros over the next three years.

Renewable energy markets such as mini wind turbines, PV, solar thermal and micro-cogeneration systems, as well as biomass boilers, are expected to reach 4 billion euros. Meanwhile, integrated solutions, like solar PV and heat pumps, are estimated to reach 0.87 billion euros.

"The high number of exhibitors who have already signed up to MCE 2016 indicate positive trends both in the manufacturing world and in the distribution world of HVAC and sanitary installations," declared Massimiliano Pierini, managing director of Reed Exhibitions Italia. "Our mission is to organise a concrete platform for better matching supply and demand, building relationships, and networking to proactively generate new business opportunities."

The common thread of the conference and events programme of MCE 2016 is 'technologies, tools and marketing strategies'. Once again, THAT’S SMART will be one of the strengths of MCE, a conference format combined with an exhibition area dedicated to domotics and building automation organized this year in partnership with ANIE and ANIE RINNOVABILI, while new for 2016 is MCEMASTER, a physical and online meeting place aimed at installers.
