Company tempts customers with sweet treat

British Gas has announced it will join the Nectar loyalty scheme at the beginning of 2011.

The company’s customers will soon be able to collect Nectar points and enjoy a range of rewards the scheme has to offer, including discounts at Homebase and Eurostar tickets.

Customers could claim points for switching payments to direct debit or paperless billing.

British Gas managing director, Phil Bentley, said: “We know our customers have a choice, and we want to reward them for putting their trust in us."

The company plans to reveal more details about its membership to the programme in the new year.
