The Health & Safety Executive has produced a comprehensive information sheet detailing the dangers faced by those who regularly breathe in construction dust.

'Construction dust' is an umbrella term for several types of dust, including silica dust, wood dust and lower toxicity dusts. Exposure to these dusts can cause lung disease.

The information sheet tells employers what they need to know to prevent or adequately control construction dust risks. It also provides advice for safety representatives and workers who come into contact with this dust.
