A housing regeneration scheme planned for the London Borough of Lambeth has been given the go-ahead.

The £114 million private finance initiative project in Brixton will see over 300 homes on the Myatt Field North housing estate rebuilt.

More than 150 existing homes will be refurbished and modernised to 'Decent Homes' standards, and another 140 affordable properties will be built on the site.

Lambeth council says sustainability will be "a major emphasis", with new homes meeting Sustainable Homes Level 3 standards on carbon emissions.

The programme will include a combined heat and power plant to provide heat and hot water for residents.
