The UK housing market continued to stutter last month, as demand failed to pick up and the supply of new properties coming onto the market fell, according to the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) UK Housing Market survey.

The housing market is a major contributor to the RMI construction sector, as a new house purchase often triggers refurbishment work in subsequent months such as extensions, decorating, or new bathroom and kitchen installations.
